Introduction
The energy of natural stones can become stagnant little by little due to daily wear and environmental influences.
For a more comfortable and longer-lasting experience, we recommend that you clean your device regularly.
Here we have summarized nine typical purification methods , along with precautions and stones that are not suitable for each method.
Please choose the most suitable method depending on the type and condition of the stone.
1|Purification with White Sage

Burn natural incense such as white sage, agarwood, or sandalwood, and gently pass the rising smoke through the stones for 30 seconds to 1 minute .
It's simple and easy to incorporate, and is great for refreshing your space.
Unsuitable stones:
Turquoise, howlite (porous, so they easily absorb the color of smoke)
2|Purification through sunbathing

Place the stone in sunlight for at least 30 minutes .
In summer or other times when the sun is strong, reduce the time to around 15 to 20 minutes .
Points to note:
-
Do not place near flammable materials
-
Many colored stones can fade, discolor, and deteriorate when exposed to sunlight for extended periods of time.
-
Be especially careful with minerals that are pale in color and sensitive to heat.
Stones that are prone to fading and are not suitable for sunlight:
Amethyst, Citrine, Rose Quartz, Fluorite, Aquamarine, Rhodochrosite, Labradorite, Amazonite
3|Purification through moonlight bathing

On the night of the full moon (the 15th or 16th night), place the stone in a place where the moonlight will shine.
This is a purification method that involves letting it rest quietly overnight .
This is a natural method that can be easily incorporated into stones that need to be protected from strong light and heat.
4|Purification with running water

Rinse for a few minutes with naturally flowing water, such as spring water, river water, or seawater.
The flow will flush away unwanted energy.
Points to note:
Minerals containing copper or iron, and stones with brittle structures, may be vulnerable to water and easily altered.
Bracelets and pendants with metal fittings are also not suitable.
Stones that are weak to water and unsuitable for use:
Lapis lazuli, malachite, calcite, moonstone, labradorite, tourmaline (some colors may fade)
Fluorite Kyanite/Sodalite Pyrite (easily oxidized due to sulfur content)
Obsidian (short periods are fine, prolonged submersion is not recommended)
5|Purification with Cluster Geodes

Place the stone on top of the crystal cluster or geode,
This is how to let it rest overnight .
The natural vibrations between the stones will bring about a calming cleansing effect.
point:
If you place many bracelets in one cluster, the effect will be dispersed, so use them sparingly.
6|Salt Purification (Sea Salt)

Method 1: Soak in sea salt water for at least 6 hours
Method 2: Bury the stone in coarse salt for 8 to 12 hours
Points to note:
-
Accessories with metal fittings are not suitable as they may cause discoloration or corrosion.
-
The salt used cannot be reused and must be disposed of.
-
Use natural sea salt or coarse salt instead of table salt or refined salt
Stones that are sensitive to salt:
Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, Calcite, Sodalite, Labradorite, Moonstone, Pyrite
7|Purification with Crystal Gravel

Place the stone on top of the quartz gravel and let it rest undisturbed for 8 to 12 hours .
It's a very gentle and versatile method that can be used on most minerals.
Gravel maintenance:
You can refresh the gravel itself by exposing it to sunlight for about 30 minutes once every six months to a year.
Suitable stones:
Recommended for almost all natural stones, especially delicate minerals that are sensitive to water and salt and prone to fading.
8|Sound Clearing

Singing bowls, crystal bowls, Buddhist music, etc.
This method involves listening to a sound with a constant vibration for about an hour .
The sound vibrations align the stones and bring you to a state of calm.
9|Purification by Snow

This method involves burying the stone in fresh or clean snow for at least two hours .
The natural coldness tightens the stones and makes them clear.
Points to note:
Please avoid stones that are sensitive to sudden temperature changes and large rough stones.
Stones that are not suitable for snow (water-absorbent, metal, or structurally fragile):
Lapis lazuli, malachite, calcite, pyrite, moonstone, labradorite, general accessories with metal fittings
Conclusion
Each stone has its own unique character and subtleties.
With proper care, you can wear your jewelry longer, more beautifully, and with peace of mind.
To keep stones that you wear regularly in good condition, purify them once every one to two weeks .
If you have not worn your stone for a long time, it is recommended that you do a light cleansing before wearing it again.
